Networking

Home Networks

If you have more than one computer, consider installing a network to enable the sharing of data files and printer resources. You can also share an Internet connection to give the whole family access.

This is not as excessive or expensive as you might think: most computers now come with networking built-in, a BroadBand Internet connection a router and some cables are all that's needed to start sharing.

Wireless
Much is made of wireless devices and networking, but don't believe all the hype; wireless is not as fast, not as secure nor consistently reliable as the less fashionable wired.

Small office Networks
Most offices that have more than a few PCs would benefit greatly from:
sharing a single printer, being able to work on colleague's documents, make best use of the shared hard disk space, make backups to other computers. Sharing an Internet connection, with all users having their own e-mail accounts.

It will cost nothing for your site to be surveyed
and a no-obligation quotation given.
